The calm before the storm
Austin, TX Design Events (March 4-8)
SXSW starts in a week. I recommend charging your social battery, but here are some fun social events to warm up with this week (3/4-8). My friend (and sometime cohost) Jey is hosting an art market on Saturday. Then on Sunday I am hosting an informal Out in Tech SXSW kickoff.

🌷 2–6pm – ⭐ Austin Makers Market @ Cori and Sage
Sunday 3/8:
🤝 1–3pm – ⭐ Out in Tech SXSW Kickoff @ Barrett’s Too
✏️ 2–4pm – CreativeMornings: Cards in Bars @ Hold Out Brewing
🌷 7–10pm – Powerpoint Night without Computers @ Museum of Human Achievement
I likely will not be reporting on SXSW this year as in depth as I did last year. I hope to go to more music than tech events this year. There are many great resources to stay up to date with SXSW events, but so far I’ve just been browsing lu.ma/sxsw.
